    Notice of Annual General Meeting: Local 0005 May 8, 2024

    An Annual General Meeting (AGM) for Nunavut Employees Union (NEU) Local 0005 will be held on Wednesday May 8, 2024 at 7:00 PM (EDT) at the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) Boardroom (Building 507, Suite 204 Astro Hill Place). Use the door to the left of the main (outside) entrance of the Inuulisautinut Niuvirvik Store. 

    Local 0005 represents all Government of Nunavut Members working in Iqaluit -except for Nurses (Local 3), Conservation Officers (Local 11) and Social Workers, Specialists and Supervisors working for Family Services (Local 16)

    Members who cannot attend in person are invited to join this important meeting via Zoom.

    If you are a member of Local 0005 and have not received an email with the Zoom information for this important meeting, please email jordan@neu.ca.

    NEU Local 16 AGM (Virtual); Tuesday May 14 at 7 pm EDT

    An Annual General Meeting for Local 16 will be held on May 14 at 7 pm EDT. The meeting will be online and the information for this meeting will be sent to Local 16 members closer to the meeting date. Local 16 represents Social Workers, Speciialists and Supervisors working for the Government of Nunavut's Family Services department.

    PSAC 2024 Scholarships Open for Applications

    Applications for the 2024 PSAC Scholarship Program are now open!  
      
    The program consists of 24 scholarships, including: 

    • 14 scholarships for dependent children of current PSAC members, who will be attending full-time studies at a recognized post-secondary institution in the fall of 2024;
    • three scholarships for PSAC members who will be registered in full-time studies at a recognized post-secondary institution in the fall of 2024;
    • two scholarships for PSAC members who will be registered in part-time studies at a recognized post-secondary institution in the fall of 2024;
    • five scholarships for members or dependents of members who self-ID as a woman, Indigenous, person with a disability, racially visible or 2SLGBTQIA+.   

     

    Deadline: June 23, 2024, at 11:55 p.m. ET
