The GN employees in Rankin Inlet except Conservation Officers, Community Social Service Workers (CSSW’s)and CSSW Supervisors , Nurses, and QEC met on Jan 15, 2014 to form their own local which would represent all the GN employees in the community of Rankin Inlet except for Conservation Officers, CSSW`s and CSSW Supervisors, Nurses, and QEC.  During the meeting there was an interim executive that was elected from the members who were present at the meeting. 

The interim executive is comprised of;

President : Rob Hogan

Vice-President: Maureen Doherty

Secretary-Treasurer: April Wadland

Chief Shop Steward: Max MacDonald

The Nunavut Employees Union Executive would like to congratulate the interim executive and have designated that local as Local 018.

 

We would like all GN employees in Rankin Inlet except for Conservation Officers, Social Workers, Nurses, and QEC, to contact NEU to make arraignments for their new membership cards and for those members in that community that belong to the other locals and who do not have their membership cards please contact the NEU for your membership cards.
