Local 001, which covered all members in Kugluktuk, Taloyoak and Kugaaruk other than conservation officers and QEC members, held their AGM (Annual General Meeting) on Tuesday, May 28th 2013. A motion to divide the local was adopted by the separate communities with Kugaaruk forming its own local and Kugluktuk and Taloyoak remaining together in the other local.

The Kugaaruk local will be known as Local 001 and Kugluktuk and Taloyoak will form the new local 015. Interim executive officers were elected for each of the Locals and these officers will represent the Locals until Annual General Meetings for the new entities are organized in the fall.

The interim executives for these new locals are as follows:
