Please see below for a letter (in Inuktitut and English) from Jason Rochon (President – Nunavut Employees Union) and Lorraine Rousseau (Regional Executive Vice-President, North, Public Service Alliance of Canada) to the Honorable Lorne Kusugak - Minister responsible for the Nunavut Housing Corporation, and Eiryn Devereaux, President/CEO Nunavut Housing Corporation. The purpose of this letter is to draw attention to the impasse in negotiations with the Iqaluit Housing Authority in regards to the Nunavut Housing Corporation’s overall mandate and how Local Housing Organizations throughout Nunavut seem to be unable to provide their employees with fair wages.
