PSAC’s Young Workers Conference will be held in person April 21-23, 2023 in Montreal with the theme “Young Workers: Growing Union Power.”

PSAC members in good standing who identify as young workers (aged 35 and under) are invited to apply to be a delegate to this conference. As a delegate, you will participate in workshops, attend plenary sessions, debate resolutions, and elect two young workers and one alternate to attend the PSAC National Triennial Convention in 2024.

At the conference, delegates will work to disrupt and decolonize the existing power structures within the union and our workplaces, develop skills to engage in their roles in the union, and learn about how to take on emerging labour movement issues. Young labour leaders will be empowered to get involved at all levels where decisions are made. Workshop topics include effective leadership, breaking down member apathy, how young workers can rebuild post-pandemic, striking 101, decolonizing our collective agreements, and more.

PSAC young workers who are interested in attending this conference as delegates or observers must apply by January 6, 2023. Delegates are selected by their respective components and regions, with priority given to members who are active in their union or workplace. Delegates who are selected will be advised by email on February 21, 2023

PSAC constitutionally-recognized bodies and union structures may forward resolutions to the 2023 PSAC National Young Workers Conference.
